Negroni

Recipe courtesy of The Washington Inn
This cocktail, which takes its striking red color from Campari, originated in Florence, Italy in the early 1900s. “[The Negroni] stands tall in its simplicity and sophistication,” says the Washington Inn. “Perfectly balanced with a touch of bitterness, it’s a flawless choice for anyone who appreciates a timeless drink made with precision and care.”

- 1 oz. Campari
- 1 oz. Carpano Antica vermouth
- 1 orange
To a shaker, add equal parts gin, Campari, and vermouth. Add ice and stir for 20–30 seconds. Strain into a chilled rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with an orange twist.
