This cocktail’s vibrant color comes from ube syrup, which is made from purple yams. We met with Steve at the Mad Batter, who showed us how to mix up this new cocktail from their Spring menu!
How to make it
1oz white rum
1oz coconut rum
0.5oz ube syrup
1oz lime juice
Lime wheel for garnish
In a shaker with ice, combine rums, ube syrup, and lime juice. Shake and strain into a glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.
Steve’s tips: Use fresh juices! Have proper tools: shakers, jiggers, and a strainer. Measure precisely. Shake vigorously. Have fun!
