Pray Before You Play
These vacationers carved out time for the Lord during their stay. Cape May has a few holy places to choose from for various religious denominations. Each local church holds historic value, like the Brick Church featured on the first card, which has been in operation for over 300 years at Cold Spring Cemetery. These houses of worship are also admirable for their unique architecture and design, like the gothic style Episcopal Church of the Advent, or the stunning stained glass found at Our Lady Star of the Sea. Cape May has a diverse choice of churches on the island and these are only a few examples. Whether your intention is faithful practice or to appreciate the aesthetics of these structures, Cape May’s can be a divine destination.

Just came up the board walk and found the picture of your church where I went this morning so thought I would send it so you could see how it is. It’s one block from the board walk. Gertrude

I went to church here today.
Dear Dad & Carl: We are having a fun time. My digestion is much better the last two days. We went out in the trolley drawn by horses and they give a talk on all the old houses and hotels. I want to thank you both for everything. We went to see Ann Steinbach today. Love + kisses Mother

This is where we went to church—and Janet was so noisy I had to take her out! Except for this we are having a great time, with perfect weather so far. Love, Valerie
